Plans and Billing#

Is Share Cart Free?#

Share Cart has two paid plans: Starter at $7.00/month and Pro at $20.00/month. Both include a 30-day free trial. See Why Use Share Cart?


Is There a Free Trial?#

Yes. Both plans include a 30-day free trial, and each store gets one trial. If you switch plans during the trial, your remaining days move to the new plan, but the trial doesn't restart.


How Do I Change or Cancel My Plan?#

In your Shopify admin, under Apps, click Bevy Share Cart - Social Link, then click Subscription. From there you can upgrade, switch to Starter or cancel. See How to Switch Subscriptions.


How Am I Billed?#

Billing is handled through Shopify. You approve each plan on Shopify's charge approval page, and the charge appears on your Shopify bill.


Setup#

How Do I Install Share Cart?#

Install the app from the Shopify App Store, then turn on the Share Cart app embed in your theme editor and choose a plan. You don't need to edit any theme code. See Installing Share Cart.


Is Share Cart On by Default?#

No. Share Cart shows on your storefront only when the app embed is on in your theme and a plan or free trial is active. The Dashboard shows a banner for any step that is missing.


How Do I Turn Share Cart On or Off?#

On the Dashboard, click the badge next to Welcome to Share Cart. Enabled means customers can share their cart. Disabled means the Share Button is hidden from your store. Click the badge to switch between them. Clicking the badge takes effect right away. You don't need to click Save.

How Do I See the Share Button on My Store?#

Click Preview in the title bar at the top of the Dashboard. Your store's cart page opens in a new tab. The preview shows your saved settings, so click Save first to see your latest changes.


Customization#

Can I Change the Look of the Share Button and Pop-Up?#

Yes. Click Pick a theme to apply one of five pre-built themes, then fine-tune colors, fonts, sizes and icons in the Design settings. See Themes and Dashboard Customization.


Can I Change the Text on the Share Button and Pop-Up?#

Yes. In the Design Preview on the Dashboard, choose Share Button to edit Title Text and Button Text, or Share Pop-Up to edit Pop Up Title and Footnote Text. Smaller texts such as Copy Button Text are in Typography. See also Share Button and Share Pop-Up.


Can I Place the Share Button Above or Below the Cart?#

Yes. Use Share Widget Position in Appearance and choose Above the Cart or Below the Cart. See Appearance. To place the button somewhere else, use Manual Embedding.


By default, shared links don't expire. In Links, under Expire Shared Links After, you can turn on Number of Visits, Number of Days, or both. See Links.


Can Customers Add a Message to the Cart They Share?#

Yes. Turn on Share Message in Display Settings. See Share Message.


What Is the Order Note Attribute?#

When Add Order Note Attribute is on, orders placed with a Share Cart discount get extra attributes with the referrer's and recipient's details. You can see them in the order's Additional details. See Order Note Attribute.


Incentives (Pro)#

Can I Offer Discounts for Sharing a Cart?#

Yes, on the Pro plan. On the Incentives page you can offer a Recipient discount to friends who check out from a shared link and a Referrer discount to customers who share their cart. See Recipient Incentives and Referrer Incentives.

Note: Incentives are part of the Pro plan.


Can I Change the Discount Text on the Share Button?#

Yes. Open Incentive Design, then Discount Announcement. Turn on Show Incentive Offering On Share Button and edit Incentive Text and Incentive Text Color. See Discount Announcement.


Can I Change the Colors and Text of the Discount Banners and Pop-Ups?#

Yes. Colors are set in the Incentive Design cards: Discount Details, Referrer Discount Pop-Up, Recipient Discount Banner and Recipient Discount Pop-Up. Most texts are edited in the Design Preview by choosing the matching view. The discount amounts and conditions come from your settings on the Incentives page. See Dashboard Customization.


Troubleshooting#

Why Isn't the Share Button Showing on My Store?#

Check that:

  • The app embed is on and saved in your theme editor.
  • A plan or free trial is active.
  • The badge next to Welcome to Share Cart says Enabled.
  • Your cart has at least one product.
  • Visible to Only Logged in Customers in Visibility isn't hiding the button from you.

Why Aren't My Changes Showing on My Store?#

Changes are not live until you save them. Click Save in the save bar at the top of the page. This also applies after you apply a theme. The status badge next to Welcome to Share Cart is the exception: clicking it takes effect right away. See Saving Your Changes.


Why Can't I Open Incentive Design?#

Incentive Design is a Pro feature. Without Pro it is dimmed with a PRO badge. On Pro, it appears once you turn on a recipient or referrer discount on the Incentives page.
