Why Use Incentives?

Incentives give shoppers a reason to share their carts and give their friends a reason to buy. This article covers the benefits of incentives, which plan includes them, and what you see in the app if your store isn't on that plan.

Note: Incentives are part of the Pro plan.


Benefits of Incentives#

  • Expand Your Customer Base: Rewards motivate customers to share their cart links, so you reach new shoppers through word of mouth.

  • Drive More Sales: A discount for referrers and recipients makes both more likely to complete a purchase.

  • Foster Customer Loyalty: Customers who are rewarded for sharing feel valued and are more likely to come back.

  • Improve Conversion Rates: A discount waiting at checkout helps recipients who are on the fence finish their order.

  • Increase Customer Engagement: Customers actively share and promote your store, which increases your visibility.


What the Pro Plan Includes#

Share Cart has two paid plans: Starter at $7.00/month and Pro at $20.00/month. Incentives are only available on Pro. Upgrading to Starter does not unlock them.

The Pro plan includes:

  • Everything in Starter
  • Referrer discounts for sharing a cart
  • Recipient discounts for shared-link purchases
  • Automatic or manual discount codes (coupons)
  • Minimum spend and quantity conditions

It also unlocks Incentive Design on the Dashboard, where you style how discounts appear to shoppers.


Trying It Out#

You can try Share Cart with a 30-day free trial. Each store can use the free trial once.

To change your plan: in your Shopify admin, under Apps, click Bevy Share Cart - Social Link, then click Subscription. See How to Switch Subscriptions for the steps.


If Your Store Is Not on Pro#

You can still open the Incentives page, but you can't use it yet:

  • Each section (Customer eligibility, Recipient discount and Referrer discount) shows a PRO badge next to its title.
  • The settings are shown but disabled and greyed out.
  • A See plans button appears at the top of the page. Click it to go to the Subscription page and upgrade.

On the Dashboard, Incentive Design is also shown with a PRO badge and locked.


If You Switch From Pro to Starter#

When you move from Pro to Starter:

  • Discount incentives stop immediately, so customers no longer receive discounts when they share their cart.
  • Your incentive settings are kept if you move back to Pro.

Cart sharing itself keeps working on Starter.
